Broadstreet Family Adoption

As you may know, we brought home a baby girl

 earlier this year and will soon finalize our adoption. We are so blown away and humbled by the outpouring of support we’ve received in our adoption journey.

Since before we were married, adoption has been something that was always on our minds and in our hearts. Many of you know that the journey to become parents has been a long one for us, filled with twists and turns and immense grief. So many of you have walked with us through each step in that journey - holding our hands as we grieved infertility, celebrating with us at Baylor’s birth, praying with us during his NICU stay, and ultimately picking up the pieces of our broken hearts as he went to be with Jesus. You were patient with us as we spent intentional time grieving and preparing our hearts to welcome another little one. Now we are celebrating again and you’ve shown up again! With diapers, meals, clothing, and more. We are so blessed to have a community like this and do not have the words to express our gratitude. Thank you for walking with us in the deepest valleys and the highest mountain peaks. 

The adoption process can be unpredictable in many ways - sometimes the wait feels like forever, and sometimes things move at a lightning fast pace. Both were true for us! We had been waiting and longing to bring a child home for years. We matched only days before our baby girl was born. We rushed to meet her and instantly fell in love. She was born on January 25th, our perfect little bundle of love!

Please pray with us for our daughter’s birth family. They are absolutely incredible, and we are so grateful for their bravery, love, and selflessness. Pray for the Lord’s peace and guidance and they navigate this new season. Please pray for us as we settle into life with a newborn in our home. We do not take for granted the privilege of holding and caring for our baby girl. Pray that our gratitude never runs out. Pray for our baby girl, that she would grow to know the Lord and blossom into all He’s created her to be.

Our parenting journey has been long, and now we are so excited to welcome home our baby girl. God has been so faithful in each and every step. More than anything, we want His faithfulness to be shared. When people hear our story, we want them to see God, and to understand a tiny bit more about  the Gospel. We’ve prayed that God wouldn’t waste our story - the waiting, joy, hardships, grief, and loss. And we believe that He isn’t wasting it. Our family is a testimony of His faithfulness. You as our community have testified again and again at the provision of the Lord through His people. We truly could not have done this journey alone. Thank you for walking with us. We love you all so much!
